Goodbye Talisay!

We live on the edge of a wood, so trees naturally propagate themselves in our garden.

Although the trees provide shade and help keep out garden cool,
they also sometimes make it difficult to grow other things
-because there is not enough sunlight.

We would like to have more fruit trees
-and so at present we are trying to keep trees small and to grow more within a small area.

One of the original trees had grown into a tall umbrella tree (Talisay).
Although the bats and some birds like to eat the seeds
-and it is quite a good lumber tree
 -we decided to remove it.

We still have at least one smaller Talisay left.
